GREAT SHOT!
Gpa used to run that line from Portland to Eugene and back each day. That was when he dressed in his conductors uniform and got all spiffed up and worked a passenger train, before he went to work on cargo trains. As a family (I was no more than 3 or 4 yrs) we would get to dress up and travel with him every once in a while.
That's awesome!
The line goes right through town. When KT and I were walking around we had to stop and wait for the train to cross, probably 60 cars or so, took a while and there was a curve in the tracks so the train had to go even slower.
Thanks for the memory jarring. That really is a great pic!
